The Pet Paparazzi is a photography brand that focuses on capturing your dog or cat's personality and true essence.
I created The Pet Paparazzi because as a dog mom of 4, all I love doing is taking photos of them, like, all the time (seriously, you should see my camera roll). I'd love for their to be a photographer that caters to a pet parent like myself that will truly capture my dogs in their fun and quirky state. Animals can get easily overwhelmed so having someone to have a smooth and easy process that won't stress my pet out would be crucial.
When researching pet photography, I found that the most common type of pet photography are photos of pets in their own everyday settings, which would most likely be in the comfort of their own home and where they live their everyday life. Another common type are action style photography shots where the pet is catching a treat or playing with their own toys. There's definitely opportunity to create a very fun setting where the photographer is really able to capture the pet's personality.
When we think of paparazzi pics, we think of people being captured candidly. Doing this with our pets will bring out their fun and unique personalities. By keeping a plain background and using the bold and fun color palette wll bring out the playfulness of the brand and the pet themselves will stand out.
For the identity, I wanted to add just a little pizzazz to the type. Obviously sticking with a camera icon and the paw print as the lens, I added a few flash elements to the 'i' that ties back in to the camera. The outline of 'Pet' is also used around the website and to showcase the pet's name to represent focus.
I wanted a balance of fun and professionalism within the type. Entire typesuite is from Adobe fonts. For the heading, I went with Marvin which is a bold and playful font. Raleway (medium) is the subheading and I love the rounded font with this typesuite because it's still fun but clean. The body font is Futura PT Light. I wanted the body to be a lot lighter and thinner compare to both headings for some contrast and this one really completed the suite. It's clean and minimal which ties back that gentle personality trait the brand has.
