Isn’t it crazy how things can literally change in an instant?
I feel like I just graduated college, moved back to the bay, and was so excited for this new chapter of my life. But then, it went downhill...lol literally.
Fast forward a couple of years later, and I had this huge awakening, career shift, etc. My life is so different than what it was a year ago and even though I’m still in the first few pages of this chapter, I always remember how important it is to just take a deep breath and focus on the right now.
For me, taking a mental reset isn’t getting up at 5am, working out, or eating oatmeal for breakfast. It’s listening to what my mind and body are asking for at that very moment. Take a nap, go treat yourself to a $7 latte, scroll on Tiktok for an hour ~or 2~ and avoid *responsibilities*, anything to take some of the pressure off. I get so caught up with what my goals are and next thing you know, my eyes are dry, I have a headache and I feel stressed. It’s so important to just pause for a moment and “people watch” your thoughts.
